The proctors of the common treasury, the auditors of the accounts, and the lieutenant of the grand preceptor have concluded an agreement with Fr. Guillaume Quinon that he will receive the preceptory of Arnhem for his lifetime, although he does not belong to the German tongue. All the preceptory's debts to the treasury will be remitted until 24 June 1511 and no duties will be levied for five years until 23 June 1516. These stipulations were included because none of the brethren of the German tongue wanted to accept the preceptory, which was impoverished by war and mismanagement. After those five years two men from the German tongue will come to see the improvements he has made and will decide on the real value of the preceptory.
