[recto] This should be known by the commoners of the whole valley east of the Kawi (range), both west of the water and east of the water, / the common speakers, chiefs of manors, elders of rural communities, and also the fellow headman of Turen, that We confirm / the Word of His Grace the Magnificent Lord the Illustrious Parameshwara, He who is the honoured Released in Wisnu's Abode, and the Word / of Him who is the honoured Released in Kertabhuwana, concerning the original state of the commoners of Katiden, / eleven districts. Because they take care of the blady grass on Mount Lejar they shall be exempt from anything, they shall be exempt / from house tax, rice tax and also duty, from all kinds of tribute they shall be exempt. Also /

[verso] concerning the forest of gaten trees(1) and the eggs of turtles, there is nobody who can forbid them, on the ground that they cannnot / be forbidden. Nobody should defraud them in any respect. This Royal Seal, when it has been read shall be kept by the / district of Lumpang. Dated in the first month, Shaka 1317(2).
