Speech of Pope Paul II in front of the Roman chapter general and response of Grand Master Pere Ramon Zacosta.

24 January, 1467. Rome.
Decision on the payments for the expenses of the receptors coming to the chapter general: those with debts less than 300 fl. shall receive their parts, thus the receptor of St Gilles shall get 40 fl. of Rhodes, and the others accordingly. The priors of St Gilles and Portugal shall define the ratio and inform the receptors.

3 February, 1467. Rome.
Decision that the receptors shall have the incomes from preceptories vacant by privation because of debts, but only when they do not have the [money of the] treasury in their hands or are debitors of the treasury.

3 February, 1467. Rome.
Decision that the receptors for the responsions shall have their ancianitas as if they would be in the convent on Rhodes.

7 February, 1467. Rome.
Decision of the chapter that the new master elected after the death of the present master - whom God may preserve - shall follow the regulations on the treasury with the same vigour like the present master. If the elected is not on Rhodes, three brethren shall be chosen to control the strict observation of the agreements.

Note on the decisions of the chapter concerning the payment of debts, the administration of the convent, and moral reform. The statutes are read out by the vice-chancellor and fixed in three papal bulls by the archbishop of Milano.

The chapter general transfers its authority to the complete council for ten days. End of the chapter.

12 February, 1467. Rome.
Pope Paul II confirms the decisions of the Roman Chapter General concerning the order's finances; detailed regulations concerning the payments of the priories for the next five years.

Discussions on the place for the election if the new master.

7 March, 1467. Rome.
Pope Paul II nominates fr. Giovanbattista Orsini as Master of the Hospital, since fr. Pere Ramon Zacosta died shortly after the end of the Roman Chapter general.

12 June, 1467. [Rhodes].
The lieutenant of Fr. Giovanni-Baptista de Orsinis, the Master, and the Convent grant the preceptory of Arnhem and Nimwegen to Fr. Dirk Wolf.
