13 April, 1453
Entry on the renewal of the litigation between the priories of Castille, Portugal, and Navarra on one side and the Castellany of Amposta and the Priorat Catalonia on the other side concerning the procuration for the Spanish lingua in the Convent; since the decision of 02 December, 1450 is not accepted, the final decision will be taken by the next chapter general.

23 July, 1453
The Master Fr. Jean de Lastic to the "French" prior Fr. Nicole de Giresme: news on the fall of Constantinople; the prior is ordered to summon a provincial chapter, to raise the monies due to the Convent and to send a group of brethren to the East; news on Turkish galleys preparing an attack on Rhodes next April.

01 September, 1453
The Master Fr. Jean de Lastic confirms a charter of the Grand Preceptor Fr. Raymond de Tesi and of Fr. Joan d'Espillez, visitators of the preceptory of Kos, dated Kalimnos 16 April, 1453: confirmation of the office of castrofilaca in the castle of Kalimnos to Nikolaos Sakellares.

07 October 1453
Pope Nicolaus V to certain bishops, the conventual prior at Rhodes and others: urges the officials of the Hospitallers to pay their responsions and other dues, otherwise they will be excommunicated and loose their offices.

12 October, 1453. Rhodes.
Master Fr. Jean de Lastic confirms the allocation of the preceptory of Sint Jansdal to Fr. Johan van Withflit and orders Fr. Steven van Gruuthusen, head of the preceptory of Arnhem, to place him in the physical possession of his preceptory. (NLM Arch. 364, fol. 106v-107r, register = liber bullarum 1453-1454 / J. 18 November, 1453. Rhodes.
Master Fr. Jean de Lastic orders Fr. Engelbert van Foreest, head of the preceptory of Utrecht, and the other brethren of his house, to place Fr. Johan van Withflit in the possession of his preceptory of Sint Jansdal within a fortnight. Should they pretend to have some rights to this preceptory, then they are asked to appear at the Convent at Rhodos within nine months, so that justice be done to them.
