*TS1278.00.00 - 1278, s.l. - Robert de Turville, Master of the Templars in England, makes known that he granted Christian de Insula de Perth four pericates on the inch of Perth for an annual rent of 2 sol. 8 d. to be paid half at Easter and half at Michaelmas and payment of 2 mark silver when he or his heirs will die; this property is owned by the Templars by the donation of Earl David brother of King William; reference to the consent of the provincial chapter held at Temple Dinsley on 11 June.

*TS1278.01.18 - 18 January, 1278, Rome. - Pope Nicolas III confirms all privileges of the Templars given to them by popes, kings and princes.

TS1278.09.20 - 20 September, 1278, Viterbo. - Nicolas III to masters, preceptors and brethren of Hospitallers, Templars and Teutonic Knights: orders them to fight strongly for the defense of the Holy Land and to keep their contingents. (Registres Nicolas III, 1, 167, S. 51, edition)

TS1278.09.30 - 30 September, 1278, Bergamo. - Guglielmo di Casei Gerola priest and Templar preceptor of Bergamo, proctor and lieutenant of the Templar master in Italy, acknowledges the receipt of a payment due from the heirs of Guiliermo Melli.

TS1278.12.03 - 3 December, 1278, Viterbo. - Nicolas III to Philipp III king of France: from his letters and the report of Frater Arnulfus de Wisamata special envoy of the Templars in this case he has been informed of royal measures against the Bishop of Bayeux, especially the deprivation of his temporal properties, because of illoyalty.
