Robert de Turville, Master of the Templars in England, makes known that he granted Christian de Insula de Perth four pericates on the inch of Perth for an annual rent of 2 sol. 8 d. to be paid half at Easter and half at Michaelmas and payment of 2 mark silver when he or his heirs will die; this property is owned by the Templars by the donation of Earl David brother of King William; reference to the consent of the provincial chapter held at Temple Dinsley on 11 June. - Edinburgh, National Archive of Scotland (Scottish Record Office), GD 160/112/4 [olim Drummond Castle Muniments, bundle I, no. 6]. Noueritis nos de communi consilio et assensu capituli nostri in festo sancti Barnabe apud Dynesl[ey] concessisse et hac carta nostra confirmasse Cristino de Insula de Perth quatuor perticatas terre in insula de Perth simul iacentes ex parte occidentali terre quondam Simonis de Lenna,

quas quidem perticatas habemus de dono comitis Dauid fratris illustris regis Willelmi, habend[um] et tenend[um] sibi et heredibus suis integre et quiete, reddendo inde annuatim domui nostre duos solidos et octo denarios argenti ad duos terminos anni videlicet medietatem ad festum Sancti Michaelis et medietatem ad Pascham, saluis eciam nobis in obitu suo et heredum suorum duabus marcis argenti.

In cuius rei testimonium huic scripto sigillum commune capituli nostri est appensum.
