*TS1212.03.00 - March 1212, s.l. - Godefridus, Viscount of Châteaudun, in an open letter: makes known that the Templars had fresh wood from his forest Faium Boscheti for their house at Materaz, dry wood for all usages at Materaz, pasture for their cattle and feed for their pigs. Also the Templars' subjects had dry wood from this forest at all usages, pasture for their cattle and feed for their pigs. Both were not allowed to hunt in the forest. When there was a conflict between him and the Templars, a compromise was negotiated by the abbot of St. Calles and Petrus de Terniaco for the Viscount and Guillelmus Mener and Bartholomeus Droco for the Order, joined by Hamelinus de Roorte. The Templars and the negotiators resigned to him and his heirs the fresh wood for their house at Materaz and the feed they and their subjects had in the wood. They retain the pasture for their cattle and that of their subjects. In reverse, the viscount grants them 45 acres in the same wood and renounces for him and his heirs any vexations and legal claims following from that.
