*TS1239.01.02 - 2 January, 1239, Lateran. - Gregory IX to the Brethren of the Templars in Spain: allows them to present their own suited candidates for the churches of the Order to the bishops, both members of the Order as well as secular clerics, as long as the regular services do not suffer and the rights of the bishoprics are preserved.

TS1239.01.02.a - 2 January, 1239, Lateran. - Gregory IX to the Brethren of the Templars in Spain: praises their efforts for the support of the Holy Land - the dangerous situation of which is daily in his mind -, in which they spare neither men nor materials. Therefore he indulges that if the archbishops, bishops, and prelates - who have their traditional rights in the churches which belong to the Order - demand more, this should be rejected. (Reg.Vat. 19, 71r / Gregoire IX, Régistres, 2, 4722)
