Item quisti sonno li usagi de septena che non sono scripti, tamen son notati:
In prima chi non venne alla campana della semblea sia in septina.
Item chi a demanda sguardo d’actione et de poy el bayli se ne impiagie sia in septina.
Item chi transgredisse li comandamenti sia in septina.
Item chi porta li capilli longhi sia in septina.

The collections of esgarts and usuances offer a series of precedential cases in which the courts of the order imposed the penalty of 'septena' which later were enacted as statutes by the chapters general or became obsolete in time. This catalogue of penances was formed in the collections in BNCF Ms. Magl. cl. XXXII, 37 (fol. 110r, Italian, there shortened) as well as in NLM Libr. 501 to adapt the esgarts to the actual sitation and obviously served as prototype for Caoursin.
