Fr. Francesch de Sanz is elected lieutenant preceptor of Kos.

Grand Master fr. Guy de Blanchefort to King Henry VIII of England: has been elected master of the Order of St. John. The Turks have a new sultan, a most cruel enemy of the Christians who is preparing a fleet in the Hellespont against the possessions of the Knights. They call upon the princes of Europe to make peace among themselves, and assist in preventing the excesses which must necessarily ensue. Asks the King’s leave that he may command the English Prior, the Bailiff of Egle (venerabilis bajulivus aquille), and all other preceptors of their Order in England to come to Rhodes to their relief. - Ex Burgo Novo, die decimo . . . Pope Leo X. confirms the agreement of 1474 between the Latin archbishop and the Greek metropolitan, but henceforth the supremacy of the archbishop is defined by his status as a papal legate for Rhodes; the master of the Hospitaller is asked to mediate in case of conflicts.

19 July, 1513
Fr Anton de Sant Martin bailiff of Mallorca is nominated controller of the accounts for the langue of Aragon, Catalonia and Navarre and sworn in solemnly.

15 September, 1513
The bailiff of Morea fr Jacques d'Aymer is nominated captain of St Peter for two years according to the statutes. Measures concerning the connetables at St Peter.

20 Oktober, 1513
The Vice-Chancellor Bartolomeo Policiano determines the rank (according to age and honour) of the capitular bailiffs of Mallorca, Egle, and Manosque, based on a search in the documents of the chancery.

15 November, 1513. [Rhodes].
Lieutenant Grand Master to King Henry VIII of England: by virtue of their obedience, Fr. Thomas Newport, bajulus aquilae and Fr. Thomas Scefild, preceptor of our pre[ceptory] of Synghai, and treasurer of the Order in [England], have arrived at Rhodes. They have him informed that the King wishes to retain with him Fr. Thomas Docray, their prior. Request that he may be sent as soon as the King can spare him. Will retain Fr. Thomas Newport. - Original paper, damaged by fire. Note on the information that Grand Master fr. Gui de Blanchefort died on his way to Rhodes 24 November, 1513. The Council decides that the election is to be held on 15 December.

Grand Master Fr. Fabrizio del Carretto to King Henry VIII of England: on the death of Fr. Guy de Blanchefort, he had been elected Grand Master. He wants to retain Fr. Sheffield and Fr.
