[King Edward IV] appoints Laurence, bishop of Durham, the king's kinsman John, earl of Worcester, Robert Botell, prior of St. John of Jerusalem in England, John Wenlok of Wenlok, knight, and Master Robert Stillington, doctor of laws, keeper of the privy seal, as ambassadors to treat with the king's kinsman John de Ile, earl of Rosse and lord of the Isles. [King Edward IV grants an] Inspeximus and confirmation to Robert Botill, the prior, and the brethren of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England of the following:
1. Letters patent dated 12 May, 1 Richard II inspecting and confirming to Robert Hales, then prior, and the brethren a charter dated 1 July, 34 Edward III, being an exemplification of a charter dated 10 February, 2 Edward III, itself an exemplification of a charter dated York, 30 June, 1 Edward III, inspecting and confirming a charter dated at Chertsey, 22 September, 2 Edward II [Charter Roll, 2 Edward II, no. 45], inspecting and confirming a charter dated 8 June, 8 Edward I [Charter Roll, 8 Edward I,,nos. 43 and 44], inspecting and confirming charters dated Winchester 20 and 23 June, 37 Henry III.

[Edward IV grants a] general pardon to James Ketyng, knight, prior of St. John of Jerusalem in Ireland, alias James Ketyn, knight, prior of the hospital or house and church of Kylmaynan in Ireland, alias James Kettyng, knight of the order of the Hospitallers of St. John in Ireland, for all offences committed by him before 1 May last. And grant to him of all his former estate, with the restitution of thr Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in Ireland alias the priory of Kylmaynan, notwithstanding his attaint in Parliament in Dublin in Ireland before Roland Fitz Eustace, knight, lord of Portelester, then deputy of the king's brother George, duke of Clarence, the king's lieutenant in Ireland. Fr. Pierre Raffini, Grand Preceptor, acting as lieutenant master during the vacancy of the master's seat, and Convent bestow the preceptories of Nimwegen and Arnhem, vacant after the death of their last head Fr. Johann von Swalbach [in fact Fr. Steven van Gruuthusen, who was the last head of the preceptory of Arnhem], on Fr. Bertold Stehelin, with an annual contribution [as part] of [the] 51.000 florins a year [due from the houses in the West for the regular support of the Convent]. Fr. Pere Ramon Zacosta, Master, and the Convent grant the preceptories of Nimwegen and Arnhem, vacant through resignation of their last head Fr. Bertold Stehelin, to Fr. Philips von Reiffenberg. The lieutenant of the grand bailiff and proxies of the prior of Germany state the principle of certain advowsons, held by this prior, notwithstanding his abdication of them in a given case. Master Fr. Ramon Zacosta, bailliffs, priors, preceptors, and brethren gathered for Chapter General to the brethren in the priories and capitular bailiwicks of Italy: defend the extent of monies spent in defence of Rhodes and the Egean.

Fr. Raymond Ricardi, prior of Saint Gilles and lieutenant of master Fr. Pere Ramon Zacosta, declares that the acquired possessions of the Order must be preserved and orders to see to it that they remain beneficial to the Order in the future, especially referring to the properties in High and Low Germany.
