Master Fr. Deodat de Gozon reminds the brethren and mercenaries around Smyrna of their obedience and forbids the Prior of Catalonia, Fr. Pere Arnaud de Perestortes, the Captain of the order's galleys, to leave his ships and to help the town. Oath of the mercenaries.

Master Fr. Deodat de Gozon forbids the Captain of the land troops Fr. Roger de Montaut to help the town of Smyrna or to take over any responsibility as its captain.

20 May, 1347. Rhodes.
Master Fr. Deodat de Gozon to Fr. Pere Arnaud de Perestortes: informs him about the victory at Imbros; sends the marshal of the Order, Fr.
