1442.05.11.

11 May, 1442.
Johannes Geminger, officialis curie Basiliensis, declares that he has made an official German translation of some Latin statutes of the Order for Fr. Bertold Stehelin, head of the preceptory of Neuenburg, and Fr. Heinrich Scaler [?], proxy of the house at Villingen, both in the diocese of Konstanz.(1) - GLA Karlsruhe, 20/115. Official charter on parchment with wax seal in wooden casing on hemp string: GLA Karlsruhe, 20/115. Legend of the seal: SIGILVM CVRIE BASILIENSIS. - J. M. van Winter, Sources concerning the Hospitallers of St. John in the Netherlands, 1998, Bulls and Letters, n. 41.

[The translated statutes contain the following sentences:]

(1) This item has been inserted here because frater Bertold Stehelin later became head of the preceptories of Arnhem and Nimwegen; cf. Hospitaller1462.05.29.

[69?] is dated 1295, December 12.
