Note on the order to the captain of Smyrna, Fr. Giacomo de Leone, to use the incomes of the master from customs and other dues from Smyrna for the fortification of the town.(1) - NLM Arch. 321, fol. 220r. Register. - Jürgen Sarnowsky, Die Johanniter und Smyrna (1344-1402), 2, in: Römische Quartalsschrift 86 (1991), n. 33, p. 63.

(1) Cf. Delaville, Hospitaliers, p. 212, n. 3.
(2) The reading of this passage is unclear, especially because the income of the master from Smyrna is virtually unknown. The customs and dues were probably similar to that of the late Byzantine period..
(a) In the ms. as recepertis.
(b) Reading not sure, text written hastily.
(c) It follows a word crossed out, perhaps vel.
