State of the Project

The aim of the project is to offer at least some of the many materials already edited in collections or appendices of books or still existing in manuscript, in order to allow a survey on the Hospitaller's activities and structures. The collection is now mainly based on
– transcipts of records from the Archives of the Order of St John in the National Library of Malta in Valletta;
– texts from appendices in articles and books already published;
– some other documents from archives and libraries in Europe.
Until today, the project is not financed by grants but only supported by the different cooperators This source collection has been supported by colleagues and students who are named in single files. Nevertheless, the final responsibility and copyright for the calendars and transcripts have (in alphabetical order; in brackets the number of files):

. The Hospitaller Sources have been re-launched in December 2008 and will be continuously extended.
