Henry VII grants a pardon to John Kendale for bringing and publishing bulls, by provision of the grand master and convent of Rhodes, preferring him to the priorship of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England, void by the death of John Weston, without obtaining the king's licence and without any election being made by the brethren thereof in England. Henry VII grants John Kendale, prior of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England, and the brethren there, that they may hold for ever on their ground at Baldok, co. Hereford, a market every friday, provided that it be free to all persons; and two separate fairs of three days each, one on the eve, day, and morrow of St Matthias the apostle, and the other on the eve, day and morrow of St James the apostle. Henry VII grants a pardon to John Kendale, prior of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England, one of the justices of the peace in the county of Essex, of all debts and accounts, fines, issues and amercements, presentments, judgements, forfeitures and sums of money due to the king before 20 September from him, or John Weston the late prior, or any former prior.
