[King Edward IV grants] protection for William, archbishop of Kildare [...], brother James Keyting, prior of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in Ireland [...], who are coming to the king's presence from Ireland for certain causes concerning the peace of that land, and others in their company. Edward IV grants the licence - for certain considerations specified in certain indentures dated 6 November, 18 Edward IV [1478], between the King on one part and Fr. John Weston, the prior, and the brethren of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England, on the other part and Thomas, the abbot, and the convent of the monastery of St Mary outside the walls of the city of York on the third part - for the said abbot and convent to grant their lands in Boston, co.
