[Henry V grants a] commission of oyer et terminer to Richard de Vere, earl of Oxford, Walter Grendon, prior of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England, [...] on the water called la Leye between the counties of Essex and Middlesex leading from the town of Ware to the Thames. 27 March, 1416. Rhodes.
Fr. Hugues d'Arcy and Fr. Guidot de Rauta appear before the Lieutenant of Master [Fr. Philibert de Naillac, Fr. Luce de Vallins, the Marshall]: Fr. Hugues has invested 150 duc. in the fourth part of the vessel of Fr. Guidot; thus, he will receive a fourth of the profits from the booty after the expenses have been deducted.

[Henry V grants a] commission to Richard de Vere, earl of Oxford, Walter Grendon, prior of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England, [...] to be justices of the survey and custody of the water called la Leye in the counties of Hertford, Essex and Middlesex leading from the bridge of the town of Ware to the Thames pursuant to the statutes of 25 and 45 Edward III and 1 Henry IV concerning the erection of weirs, mills, stanks, pales and kiddles.
