Fr. Ludovico de Scalinghe, Admiral of the Order, and the Convent make known, that they grant to Fr. Laurens von Adenau, chaplain of the Order and head of the preceptory of [Arnhem], the seniority and the right to succeed as the head of the preceptories Mechelen and Velden [?] should they become vacant. - NLM, Arch. 394, fol.155r, copy in register = liber bullarum 1502-1503, dated in Annunciation-style. - J. [...] considerantes virtutibus et meritis religiosi etc. fratris Laurentii de Adinau dicte venerande lingue cappellani preceptoris de Herleem(a) dederunt, tradiderunt et concesserunt eidem fratri Laurentio antianitatem, declarantes hoc modo videlicet quod non obstante dictus frater Laurentius obtineat prefatam preceptoriam existens tam in conventu Rhodi quam extra conventum ipsum et in partibus occiduis, possit et valeat de preceptoriis de Mechellen et Fedem quas nunc possidet religiosus etc. frater Ulricus Witel dicti prioratus, pro suo cabimento, quocienscumque eas per cessum vel decessum dicti fratris Ulrici vel alio quovismodo vacare contigerit, et cum semel se cabitus de dictis preceptoriis fuerit, si se meliorare voluerit, presens in nostro Rhodi conventu adesse teneatur [...] etc.
